Lesbian Herstory Archives

Little Rainbows Storytime at the Lesbian Herstory Archives is a monthly event for children, caregivers, their families and friends to hear children’s stories that celebrate and unpack difference in its many forms. The event attracts families with LGBTQ* parents or kids, and we aim to create a welcoming space for all, especially those who, for many reasons, are living outside of social norms.

We look for stories that will resonate with children under 7 years of age, and try to incorporate 1-2 stories for toddlers and 1-2 stories for older children, since we get a cross-section of age ranges. And we’re proud to share these stories inside of the Lesbian Herstory Archives, a repository of hundreds of thousands of stories, objects, artwork, and memories of generations of lesbians.
