Little Rainbows
A monthly event for sharing space and stories among queer families, children, and their caregivers.
Little Rainbows Storytime at the Lesbian Herstory Archives is a monthly event for children, caregivers, and their families and friends to hear children’s stories that celebrate and unpack difference in its many forms. The event attracts families with LGBTQ* parents or kids, and we aim to create a welcoming space for all, especially those who, for many reasons, are living outside of social norms. We look for stories that will resonate with children under seven years of age and try to incorporate one to two stories for toddlers and one to two stories for older children, since we get a cross section of age ranges. And we’re proud to share these stories inside the Lesbian Herstory Archives, a repository of hundreds of thousands of stories, objects, artwork, and memories of generations of Lesbians.
